The MENA Search Awards celebrate the very best in PPC, SEO and Content Marketing from across the Middle East and North Africa. Judges will be looking to acknowledge and reward the best agencies, campaigns and individuals working in the search industry. There exist different awards depending on the industry the organization is belonging to; the one IDDEF (one of our customers which we made a really successful project with) won is the BEST USE OF SEARCH – THIRD SECTOR / NOT FOR PROFIT section.
In this award IDDEF competed against Confidential and Unicef. The winner project was: Boosting Donations with Seasonal Trends.

What was our contribution in that success?
Since we participated in the project with Boostroas, we are going to explain briefly the parts the project consisted in:

2- API Development
3- Frontend Development
4- Mobile App Development

A stable tech stack is the key for the success on Search
Your site needs to be fast, easy and user friendly to be successful on Google. Fabrikod consistently updates the technology behind IDDEF and always talks with the Digital Agency-Boostroas who manages the Search campaigns and the SEO process. Also in the "content is king" time that we are in, we provided an experienced author to manage the content with the team. All together the award is come.
Also the API tech was important, because power of the IDDEF come from its API. The Backend project was developed using the Laravel. It serves both Panel, Site and Mobile Applications as Rest Api. We used Mysql as a database and also we used Redis in some parts such as Sms, Cloud Switchboard, Virtual Pos, Bank Account Movements, Email, Document Transactions (PDF, Excell etc.), File Storage (Video, Picture etc.), integrations have been completed and it is hosted on AWS servers. Load Balancing structure is available to avoid interruptions and slowness in case of heavy traffic. CDN integration is available for fast access.
In the Frontend projects we used VueJs, NuxtJs, Sass, Bootsrap and an operations panel has been developed. Employees perform all their operations through this panel. For example: Human Resources, Receipt Management, Document Management, Website and System Settings etc. The same technologies as the Panel Project were used in the Site Project: VueJs, NuxtJs, Sass, Bootstrap. Server Side Rendering structure is available. SEO optimization was done. Responsive design available. Multilanguage support was contributed in order to keep it available for every user. Mobile applications were published as iOS and Android. React Native was used as technology.

The award is related to SEO and Paid Seach Traffic on Google which we worked on that matter as we mentioned before to optimize it as much as possible, as a result we got really good and positive results towards the Donations and also the new User Experience really helped a lot to increase the number of donations in the page. Also for the paid search part we have integrated every step in the first visit to checkout and the successful payment pages. That helped us to see whether the paid campaigns are in a good position or needs to be optimized, with that more reliable results eventually come.
The approach in UX side was that nowadays where customers make a purchase online, the majority of them are already used to a particular payment method or system that is step by step, and using that information and adding it to our strategy was a key factor to increase the numbers.
